We will continue to follow the White Rose Maths home learning lessons. We use a lot of White Rose resources and worksheets during our Maths lessons. Follow the link for the daily video and activity sheets.
We are going to focus on Week 2 lessons this week. (NOT Summer Week 2) You need to watch the video and complete the activity sheet. If you don't have access to a printer you can discuss the answers or write them on a piece of paper.
Lesson 1 - Recognising a third
Lesson 2 - Find a third
Lesson 3 - Unit fractions
Lesson 4 - Non-unit fractions
Lesson 5 - Equivalence of a half and 2 quarters
We have reviewed the English home learning and have decided that the Hamilton Trust was a lot of work each day and a lot of sheets to print out too! If you and your child enjoyed these activities continue on to week 2 and follow the Hamilton Trust link below.
The teachers have been following the Oaks National Academy online classroom and Bitesize daily lessons this week. Both are online and have videos, activities and quizzes. Have a look and see which one suits your child best and have a go at the English lessons. Remember you don't have to do all of the activities and these are only suggestions and ideas. We appreciate most of you are juggling working from home, home schooling and trying to support your families well being, therefore we don't want to overload you with work and ideas but support you to find the right activities for your child and family.
This week continue with the NHS school project. Many of the Weaver parents work for the NHS and we appreciate everything they are doing to help save lives and putting themselves on the frontline. Have a look at the ideas on the project sheet and have a go at one or two.
In school we use Phonics Play to support our phonic lessons. Follow the link below and the login details to play some phonic games.
Another phonic website is Monster Phonics. There are weekly videos and worksheets for EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2. Have a look on all year groups to recap on your phonic learning.
And don't forget that you have access to all the usual online learning platforms such as:
