Home Learning 4.05.20

Do a daily lesson using The National Oaks Academy.  This week focuses on Character descriptions.

BBC Bitesize also has daily lessons. This week is setting descriptions.

If you are having trouble accessing technology, look at Literacy Counts, Talk for Writing or The Hamilton Trust files below.

Try a daily lesson using White Rose Maths .This week starts with multiplication and division. Multiplication begins with the grid method leading to the formal column method which we have done in school. Later in the week is a lesson on perimeter. (Don't worry if you can't access all the problems. Watch the videos and practise the number work. You will do lots of problem solving in year 6).

Oak National Academy is a good alternative and covers work on converting units of measure.

BBC Bitesize also has lots of learning videos.

Don't forget to do short practises on TTRockstars and Mathletics.

This week's project will be based on VE Day.

VE Day - or 'Victory in Europe Day' - marks the day towards the end of World War Two (WW2) when fighting against Nazi Germany in Europe came to an end.

This is a whole school home learning activity and a VE Day heading has been added to the home page under Home Learning tab. Alternatively you can click on this link: VE Day

BBC Bitesize and Oak National Academy also have lessons on the foundation subjects.

Remember to choose the websites that suit you.

Have fun learning.
