Charity Projects at Weaver
We do lots as a school to raise money for worthy charities - The Donna Louise Trust, Macmillan, Cancer Research and The Wingate Centre - have all benefitted from our fund raising activities and in just 4 years we have raised in excess of £17,000.
This year we are going to be raising money for the CYSTIC FIBROSOS TRUST in memory of Elle Morris, a Nantwich girl who sadly passed away from the disease in January.
On Monday 21st May we had a whole school assembly, where video clips were shown. These gave the children an understanding of what CF is and how it affects the lives of those who suffer from it.
The children watched a video message recorded by Becky, Elle's mum and we were also joined by James Wojda, a 27 year old cricket coach and CF sufferer. He spoke to the children about his experience of CF and the impact it has had on his life.
